It all began when Margaret was a little girl And she took a chisel and a piece of wood and made it curl . . .

While Margaret played with dollies too, as little girls should, Her first love seemed to be wood . . .

While other girls were growing up and attempting rouge, Margaret Low was busy making a gouge . . .

Carving away,  Her nimble fingers turned out ligers droll and guy . . . People talked, words got about, and soon there came To Margaret Lowe a goodly fame . . .
